The HTC EVO 4G is one of the hottest selling devices ever on Sprint, and that, combined with HTC's supply issues, have created spot shortages of the EVO. Reuters is reporting that Sprint is experiencing shortages of the EVO in some places due to stronger-than-expected demand. When Sprint CEO Dan Hesse was asked if the shortage was due to demand or supply issues, Hesse said he believed the demand was to blame and then deferred the question to HTC spokesman Keith Nowak. Nowak had this to say:
"We're certainly doing everything we can to ensure we're supplying devices as quickly as possible. We're seeing greater demand for our products than we ever have in the past."
HTC's DROID Incredible is experiencing similar delays on Verizon, and the carrier recently offered Incredble customers who have been enduring the delays a free $25 gift card. With the popularity of the EVO, Sprint has had trouble keeping the device in stock ever since its launch. Still, it seems that most customers have been able to snag an EVO in the past few weeks if they really wanted one. Have any of you noticed EVO shortages in your neck of the woods?
