The list of Android devices that will be getting the update to Android 2.2 seems to be growing every day, and now we can add three more devices to that list. HTC has stated that "several of our 2010 models," including the Desire, Legend, and Wildfire, will be getting the Froyo treatment "beginning in Q3." While the Legend and Wildfire don't have any sort of planned U.S. release as of now, the Desire will be heading to U.S. Cellular this August.
We've already heard HTC say that their 2010 lineup will be getting the update to Android 2.2, but it's always nice to get more confirmation so we know that they're working on it. Now that open source version of Froyo is out and ready for manufacturers to tweak it, hopefully HTC can get 2.2 and Sense to play nice as quickly as possible. I don't want to write a story about the majority of HTC's devices finally getting Froyo at the same time that Gingerbread is being released!
