Lately it seems as though we get multiple leaks of every Android device before its existence is even acknowledged by the manufacturer. The Samsung Intercept followed that trend at the beginning of May, and now we have a full-on photo leak of the device from Samsung Hub. Judging by its appearance and model number (SPH-M910), it seems likely that the Intercept will be the replacement to the Samsung Moment (SPH-M900) on Sprint. The device has Android 2.1 but has a "high probability" of being released with Android 2.2. Besides the OS, the Intercept will feature a 3.2-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a four-row QWERTY keyboard. The rumored release date of the Intercept is July 11th.
With the apparent lack of Android phones with full QWERTY keyboards, the Intercept should be a welcome addition to the Sprint and Android lineup. It sounds like the device will be shipping with stock Android, which would be great. However, the OS in the photos doesn't look like the vanilla OS to me. With a possible release date of July 11th, I'm surprised we haven't heard anything official about this device yet, but I'm sure we will in the near future. Stay tuned, dear readers!
