Another day, another leaked BlackBerry. Today we've got reports of a BlackBerry 9700a, codenamed the BlackBerry Onyx Delta. BBLeaks has heard about the device from several sources who said that the phone will be an upgrade to the Bold 9700 with new internals, which makes sense given the codename and number. BBLeaks says that the 9700a will have 512 MB of RAM, a 5 megapixel camera, and BlackBerry OS 6 with the updated WebKit browser. A refresh of the same phone seems kind of strange, but it makes sense when you consider that the Bold 9700 is supposed to be a high-end device and its internals are now lagging behind some of its 'Berry brothers, like the 9650. BerryReview has shared a screenshot from the 9700a UAProf document on RIM's servers, which seems to add fire to the rumor flames. While this may seem kind of harsh to current Bold 9700 owners, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Since the 9700 hit AT&T and T-Mobile, we wouldn't be surprised to see the 9700a hit the same carriers when it's released. There's no solid release date information, but BBLeaks seems to believe that it'll hit in a couple months, so if you need a new BlackBerry, you may want to sit tight for a bit.
