Despite what you may think, Alltel is still operating various markets that were divested as a result of the Verizon buyout. One would think that the carrier would resort to launching boring devices, but no - they're going down in style. Landing on the same day as the Motorola CLIQ announcement, the Samsung Freeform is now available from Alltel.
The Samsung Freeform can be found online for $9.99, or in Alltel retail locations for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate (new one-year contract required). For the few left in Alltel markets, the Freeform might be worth a look.
