Despite questions as to the future of Motorola, today's announcement of the Evoke QA4 and the VE465 shows that the company remains committed to releasing new devices. Sporting quad-band CDMA, a 2.8-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 256MB of internal memory (with a microSD card slot for expansion), aGPS, stereo Bluetooth, and a popular design to boot, the Evoke QA4 is projected to launch with Cricket in the second quarter.
On the other hand, the somewhat boring Motorola VE465 can be found at Alltel retail stores and online. It offers stereo Bluetooth, a microSD card slot supporting up to 4GB, and a 1.3 megapixel camera. It can be had for $50 after instant rebate and a two-year agreement.
