i switched to metro pcs about a year ago. Where i live i have no problem getting service sometime i get more then my bf's verison phone. There is no 3g which sucks but 4g is pretty much like having 3g. I had no problem with my bill ever. 50 every month end of story so im not sure how everyone else got charged a bunch of random charges... when when my son gets ahold of my phone and tried to download apps it wont let him. The only down fall i find is that sometimes it is a bit slow trying to get on internet. over all... for $50 ill stick with it.
My parents and I decided to get SVC phones for both my grandparents and it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. For only 7 dollars a month, my grandparents have great phones that have large keypads so they can see the numbers properly and that are hearing-aid compatible so that they can hear their phone calls properly as well.
I have been with ALL Major carriers with Sprint being the last, which made me vow I will NEVER get stuck in a contract with bad service again. So I have tried quite a few prepaid services and like Net10 the best. the only draw back customer service and 411. But I have found my own solution look the # up on the internet browser. So I don't use 411 anymore & the service is great crystal clear. I have the LG900g and it works very well. But they are right NET10 customer service is horrible. They need to repair that!!!
I have had Boost since 2009. I had NOTHING but heartache. CONSTANT dropped calls, 2 day delayed texts, people couldn't reach me, etc.
Here is the interesting part, all the time I had problems, I was using BOOST phones. A friend of mine on NEXTEL gave me a I580 for free. I put my SIM card from the Boost phone into the i580 and, all at once, I mean AT ONCE, all the problems disappeared! The NEXTEL phone works great! After all, BOOST is iDEN and that means you are using the NEXTEL network anyway. Seems the NEXTEL phones are the answer, I have a friend who also did this and all is well.
I am now paying three times as much for what I had with metro with sprint and have dropped calls, phone frezzing up, takes for ever for a connection when calling someone. Metro was good in all these areas except they did not have the Iphone so I switched. I regret it now.
This is a good and easy phone to use despite the short battery life my only problem is I cant figure out how to set my speed dials!!
The Good: Flat Rate $50/month for Android phone for voice, texting, and data, no termination or reactivation fees.
The Bad: Lack of Coverage, Slow Network, Horrible Customer Service, pay full price of phone upfront.
I'm really quite happy with my $100 (at the time) Samsung Admire phone. When I got it, it had the latest Android OS, the touch screen is responsive, and almost all apps work with it. Since I rarely leave the Greater SF Bay Area where coverage is good, it works to me. Yes, customer service is weak. One isn't going to get everything for this kind of price. I rarely need customer service in practice, though.
By comparison, an unlimited voice and text plan with the *minimum* 2Gb/month data plan for a smartphone at Verison will cost $119.99 per month. Yes, you will not get the same kind of service one gets from Verizon for half the price. Not only that, but you are locked into a plan. With MetroPCS one can stop and restart at any time with no financial penalty.
This service is not for everyone, but if you want inexpensive fixed rates with no commitment, and you live in an area where it has good network service, then it is a reasonable option.
Avoid this phone. The hardest thing to do with this device is to answer or make a phone call. I have to click away several screen, or the screen wont even light. I'm glad I bought the hand set warranty because I have replaced it THREE TIMES for similar issues. Second replacement burnt down a fully charged battery in 2 1/2 hours and stayed hot as a $2 pistol. Screen response is slow, requires reboots (battery flop) just to clear its head. T Mobile refused to give me a equal replacement be cause they had too many. (Gee I wonder why?)
i visited a metro pcs store in 619 MIDLAND AVE and i have to say i got a really good deal on a phone the guy that worked there knew what he was talking about and very helpful if your around that area and go to bay st there good too
Battery life is incredible it lasted me about 7 hours with some 3D gaming and other moderate to heavy usage while connected to LTE. I may have a bad display but I can see the pixel line running from top to bottom if I look super close at some wallpapers. The colors are insane though.
This phone would be great for business people. I had a droid X2 and it was perfect for personal use, but when i traded it for the droid 3 i could really tell the difference. The keyboard is amazingly big, but the battery life is really bad.. but what else would you expect from a droid.
I did not want an Android phone but after my last Nokia phone would not hold a signal, I chose a Mytouch G4. This is a good solid phone. The rest of my family has Apple phones so I have a point to compare. The MTG4 display is very good. AT&T reception in Phoenix is still the worst of the worst. Verizon is the best. The ability to use WIFI calling makes problem reception at my house and friends houses a non issue. I knew the battery life was bad before I received the phone but after the 2.3 upgrade, the battery life doubled. The apps I use make android comparable to IOS. Overall, I am very happy with the MyTouch 4G.
I've had AT&T for over a year now and honestly it hasn't been a walk in the park, but dealing with business customer care I find that everyone there is pretty accomodating with any problem I have, but only over the phone, in store managers could care less. My complaints start with them not backing their insurance or warranty policies for anything. I have bought 3 phones out of pocket in one year because of this. One was over $400... My other complaint is the phone's don't like to roam at all. I don't care if it cost extra, but I know AT&T can bum off another network while I visit my parents/hometown... Even sprint didn't hesitate to roam off of verizon when I would lose service with them...
We have a Tracfone Motorola W370 it we never have a connecten problem with this phone.Ours is 4 years old and still going.Great phone.
This phone is has amazing features like the g'z gear. It is a very stylish phone. The battery life is a little short, but it can easily be upgraded to a bigger battery. I highly recommend getting this phone!!!
as a long time Blackberry user (last one 9800) I've been realy impressed whith the phone
The only problems I have had with this phone is that the only thing you can change about the appearance is the wallpaper. The rest of the menus are a plain black and white display with small animations of color. The battery life is great, but can dwindle if making lots of calls continuously. The keyboard is comfortable, but it can sometimes mess up if you type too fast. It also likes to double space between words occasionally when texting, creating many periods within a large text. Other than these minor issues, the Samsung Galaxy II is a wonderful and reliable phone and I highly recommend it. The orange contrast with the black is also quite sleek and modern~!
iphone 4s is an extrodinary phone! In fact i dont think its a smartphone is way beyond a smartphone its smater, cooler, better than any other smartphone out there (besides the next iphone) Siri is amzing with all the things you can ask it! The A5 processor chip is so much faster than the iphone 4 and other smartphones! iphone 4s is the leading phone in the market right now. It out sold just the weekend it was on pre-order! and some places still have it on back order AMAZING!! IPHONE 4S best phone ever!
Cricket has the BEST and unbeatable plan for International text messaging i.e. Free & Unlim International Text Mgs with their $45 & $55 plans. I love their breach payment option of $20 if you can not pay the whole bill on the due date.
I have been using their Android M860(HUAWEI)handset for 6months and I am completely satisfying with it.
I used other telephone carriers for over 12yrs, but Cricket beats them all. My 10yrs with Sprint was nothing, but HELL FIRE! My bad experiences with Sprint were: No signal inside my house except on the last floor (bed room near the window). Also, Sprint can suspend your service because of $1. Sprint suspended my service even on Christmas Day because of $14 past due, etc. TMobile is the worse of all in the sense that they always over charge customers. They over charged me for $157 and I was on the phone with their customer rep for over 3hrs and they told me that they've fixed it and promised me that it wiill reflect on my next bill, but it never reflected on my bills for 4 months and they later suspended my service because I refused to pay them. AT&T could have been the best in terms of good quality and customer service, but they are TOO expensive. Overall, I will say Cricket has the best equipmen, best plans, and great price, but they need to train their Customer Service Reps most especially at the Cooperate Office in Lanham, MD!
