Wow... I was given a Boost Mobile Card Code and I can't believe it actually worked! Hit up http://linkbitty.com/freeboostmobileminutes
I have had no problems. Always resolved any problem I have. Great value..
i hate verizon! the service is so inconsistant. i think the problam is that verizon is too big to care and makes claims they cant back up. i only have verizon because the teens tell me it is the best. if it is the best, i would hate to see the worst! overpriced for what you get.
I changed internet service from one provider to At&t because I thought the u-verse internet service would be a great! They first charged me $100 bucks to install the service that could have been installed by teenager. Then I found out, if your 1 day late on your bill, the late fee is the same amount as your monthly bill, so your monthly bill is now double. Then they call you to make the payment and when you get someone on the line to make the payment they charge you $5 to make a payment. AT&T ARE ROBBERS!! After this contract, I'll never do service with them again!
I've recently bought this crazy beast and now I am in love with it. At first I had the option between note 3 and iphone 5s and now I have no regret with this mighty phone due to its blazing fast hardware. BEST PHONE EVER!
Honestly it's one of the best phones I've ever owned, however three things kept it from being 'the' best.
1) Camera
2) Spearkers
3) Mic
Camera is a hot topic, there's fans and haters, but for me the camera was good. When I wasn't comparing it to others, the camera made me very happy. However when I compared it to others, even the Nexus 5, the camera left me feeling envious. If they would have ditched the Ultrapixel and kept it 10+ MP, it'd be a winner.
Speakers - Now I know what you're thinking. This guy's a moron if he hates the speakers. Well I don't hate them. I loved them. What I didn't like however was the speaker holes. Due to the design, it made it difficult to clean. This worried me for long term use on the phone. I used a toothbrush as was suggested and I tried various different things. Which leads me to number three...
Mic - Trying to clean out my speakers with compressed air, somehow damaged my speaker mic. Whenever I put the phone on speaker the person on the other end couldn't hear me. However on normal calls the person can hear me.
Key functions that can be used in day to day use is the magnetic charging so you don't have to plug in the micro usb wire. Now this is really useful (unlike heart monitor) as it avoids wear and tear of the usb port. And also water proof!! Let's see if anyone can come up with one better than water proof
So let me start with a brief history of the smart phones that I have owned in order. These are all on AT&T by the way, iPhone 3Gs, Samsung Infuse, iPhone4, Galaxy S3, iPhone5, Galaxy S4 and now the HTC One M8. The M8 is by far the best smart phone I have ever owned.
I will go down the list as it appears in the review box.
1. Display - The display on the M8 is gorgeous. I have no issues with it. Even at 1/4 brightness, it is still bright and my wife complains about it. The screen is crisp and has more lifelike tones than that of the more vibrant Galaxy series. While outside in the sun the screen is still viewable, albeit with the brightness all the way up. The GS's had issues even with full brightness in the sun.
2. Reception and Call Quality - Calls come in loud and clear on my handset. At first it takes a second to align the earpiece over my ear but once I do there are no issues.
3. Battery Life - Now this is where the phone really shines. With heavy use all day from 7 am to almost midnight, the battery will still be above 30%. And when I say heavy use I mean I'm constantly on the phone playing games, updating Blinkfeed, on Facebook, IGN and CNET. I do have the standard Power Saving Mode enabled as I always do on my phones with the feature. I've never had battery life this amazing on a phone before and I commend HTC for being the first to have an all day battery.
4. Design/Form Factor - The M8 is very ergonomically made. Its curved backside allows the phone to sit in my hand perfectly. I do always have a case on my phone and it hasn't hindered the design or use at all. Just be weary of the slickness of the phone as without a case you'll likely drop it. Be careful!
5. Apps & Media Support - As with my other Android phones the amount of Apps that I can get and use from the Play Store is great. I don't use the HTC apps that come on the phone save for Blinkfeed. I love me some Blinkfeed. I get all my nerd news (tech, movies, video games and some sports) in one place. I don't see myself ever turning it off.
Extras - The front facing Boomsound Speakers are phenomenal!! No other handset can compete with the amount of volume and clarity that these speakers put out. They put my GS4 rear speaker to shame.
The camera is pretty good. It takes great pictures in low light. But when there is too much light the pictures get a little washed out. If I could have the GS4 or GS5's camera on this phone that is the only change I would make.
I highly recommend this phone to anybody in the market for a new device. It is a bit tall for those of you who would like a smaller device. But this is only due to the inclusion of the front speakers which in my opinion is a great trade off. I don't mind the size but some might.
After using my htc one m8 for a week my first impression are very good,I loved the original one m7 and I can't believe they have managed to improve the full metal uni-body from 75% to 90% and it feels even better in the hand and feels just right in your hand with a lovely 5inch screen running kit Kat 4.4.2 and the new htc sense 6 and with the new snapdragon 801 processor it runs smoothly with lovely features like BlinkFeed which now gets updated like one or two features on Google playstire now instead of waiting for a major update so it is always the latest update for that app,the camera is a duo -focus ultra-pixel camera with some nice features like ufocus, zoe, sketch and have had no problem taken photos.
The battery is outstanding and I get roughly 18 hrs on average before I hit 50% using social media, camera and surfing the web and with the fast charge capabilities on this smartphone is a winner
best flagship ever, great display, great camera, great design, great battery life, etc.
Almost every complaint I read on here reeks of a lazy customer. Why must you call Verizon to have them tell you anything about your bill, your termination fee or your device? They provide a network for u to use and a website for YOU to check your usage and anything else you need to know. I have been a customer for many years and have never had a reason to call for anything. I work in customer service so i know how people act when they call in and quite frankly, if you're getting bad service its because you're a bad customer.
for any music lover this is the best phone out there....also its a complete phone there is hardly anything missing on it unlike htc m8 and galaxy S5 with its camera and design respectively....best phone currently out period..
Great phone but the price is to high in my opinion where as theres better phones for its price but other than that its a great phone as ive never really noticed my taste of phones has been mostly with motorola anyway awsome company in my eyes dont care what anyone thinks
With price 500 USD it is best choice in POLAND ,other phones are much expensive since the tax regulations .
No body can confuse the m8 to be any other phone. I am experiencing some bugs in the music player. hance the low score on apps and media support.
I would give a 5* if not for the on screen navigation buttons. Really annoys me to the point that I might switch the best phone ever, but that's just me being a perfectionist. Another reason is that after holding an HTC ONE Max for a week, the battery life blew me away. It lasted almost two days on a single charge. I just wish HTC would've included at least a 3000mh battery in The ONE M8. One last thing, camera resolution. In this cellphone era 13MP is the standard. Yes the ZOE features and duo effects are fun but that's it. More resolution would result in better pictures even if its 20% better pictures I would prefer it. All around is the best Android phone period.
I've had for over 5 months now it's an incredible phone. there isn't an hour in a day that I don't use it. The S pen is an important feature for me. My only complaint is the one speaker. Needs another speaker and better quality. The phone is a beast. It has more processing power then allot of tablets. If you have decent sized hands and want a phone that will be able to multi task and not lock up or bog down at critical moments you can't go wrong. As long as you're careful you don't download any power hungry apps that run constantly in the background the battery will easily get you through the day. I've gone over a day at times. I'm using the Seidio Dilex case and the Iloome Flex Screenmate flexible TEMPERED GLASS SCREEN protector.
