OnePlus CEO Pete Lau teased earlier this year that his company is prepping two phones for release in 2015, the OnePlus 2 and a second model, and today we may be getting our first look at that other phone.
The FCC has posted a listing for an unannounced OnePlus phone with the model name ONE E1005. Included in the entry is a photo of the device’s rear, showing a phone that’s unlike the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. This new mystery phone has an offset camera in one corner, speakers and a charging port on its bottom, and rounded corners.
Unfortunately, the FCC entry doesn’t spill many of this phone’s spec details, but it does reveal that the device has a processor clocked at 1.9GHz as well as LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, and FM radio. Given OnePlus’s history with Android, it seems likely that this phone is running Google’s mobile OS, too.
Given Lau’s previous tease that OnePlus is prepping a more affordable device for debut by the end of 2015, it seems likely that that’s what we’re looking at in this FCC entry. There’s not much to really say about this mystery OnePlus phone right now other than that it looks like a pretty plain black slab. Here’s to hoping that we learn more about it soon.
