The iOS leaks continue! Hot on the heels of the appearance of purported screenshots of Apple's rumored iOS 6 Maps app, a new image of what could be a back panel for the new iPhone has made its way online. The image of the part comes from repair firm iFixyouri and is said to come from a "reliable" Chinese parts supplier. The back panel is said to be one piece of an aluminum alloy, and at the bottom we can see that there's a smaller dock connector along with redesigned speaker and microphone grills. Apple is said to be using the extra space gained from the smaller connector to improve the quality of the phone's speaker. Finally, the Chinese supplier claims that besides black and white, this back panel has been spotted in "at least two other colors," though it's not clear what those colors were or if those panels will make it into production.

This alleged back panel looks to line up with a report from earlier this month that claimed that the new iPhone will feature both a metal panel in the middle of its backside as well as a smaller dock connector. The new design is somewhat reminiscent of the original iPhone, which featured a metal rear but also had a small black portion at its base that housed the antennas. It's possible that Apple will introduce at least a somewhat refreshed look with this year's iPhone considering that it's used the same design for the past two generations. Whether or not this is indeed what the new iPhone will look like remains to be seen, but this is definitely a look that differs from the iPhone 4 and 4S that iOS fans have grow accustomed to in the past couple of years. UPDATE: More shots of the new iPhone's purported rear have leaked out courtesy of repair firm uBreakiFix, this time showing the backside in white. The rear looks a tad taller than the current iPhone, and we can also see the smaller dock connector on the bottom of the device as well as a new placement for the headphone jack. UPDATE 2: Ready for more? The folks at 9to5 Mac have gotten hold of even more shots of what they claim to be parts of the new iPhone. Below you can find an image showing the backsides of both the black and white iPhones, complete with a metal panel and black and white portions on the top and bottom of the plate. We can also see the smaller dock connector and the headphone jack that's now on the bottom of the phone. A photo of what may be the front glass of the new iPhone shows that the front-facing camera may be moving to a spot above the device's earpiece. The source of the image also notes that the front also has room for a display that's the same width as the current iPhone but is taller, fitting with previous rumors.
