Just in case you didn't get enough new iPhone leaks yesterday, some more purported details related to Apple's upcoming smartphone have made their way online. What you see above is allegedly a design schematic for the next iPhone, showing a front-facing camera that's been moved to a spot above the earpiece and a display that looks to be taller than the one on the current iPhone. The portion of the schematic related to where the phone's display will be located (called the "active area mask") measures 90.1mm (3.55 in) tall and 51.42mm (2.02 in) wide, which leads to an opening that measures out to around 4.08 inches diagonally. Considering that iPhone displays have typically been slightly smaller than the size of the actual opening, that could lend credence to the rumors that the new iPhone's display will be of the 4-inch, 16:9 variety.

This latest leak, while still remaining a rumor, does line up with the alleged images of the back panel and front glass purportedly belonging to the new iPhone that we saw yesterday. So far the rumor mill seems pretty convinced that the iPhone that Apple introduces later this year will indeed have a taller display, and one report also suggested that Apple will add some extra pixels to the display to make it 1136x640 as opposed to the 960x640 resolution found on the iPhone 4 and 4S. However, exactly what Apple will do with those extra pixels remains up in the air. What do you all make of this purported taller iPhone?
