Verizon's website has already hinted that the DROID 2 Global and Incredible HD launches are imminent, and now the site has revealed that another new Android handset may soon show its face. After perusing the "Feature Phones" portion of Verizon's site, we noticed that LG's enV Touch has disappeared from the page. After trying to navigate to the enV Touch, we were greeted with a message saying that the phone is "unavailable at this time." I'm no Verizon employee so I can't say for sure why the enV Touch is gone, but the LG enV Pro is rumored to be coming out November 11th. Just saying.
LG's Voyager and enV Touch have been pretty successful for Verizon, which is why I'm kind of surprised that Big Red is making the enV Touch's successor into a smartphone. Then again, the enV Pro, which is said to retain the Touch's form factor but pack two touch screens, Android 2.1, and global-roaming capabilities, meaning that it could bring a ton of new users to Android that previously stuck to the feature phone side of things. Plus, there's Verizon's new $15/150MB data plan to entice customers to make the switch with an enV Pro. We've only got another 10 days before the enV Pro is rumored to launch, so stay tuned!
