The Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro were just announced six months ago with features like a 108MP main camera and Snapdragon 865 processor. They're definitely flagship-tier phones, but now Xiaomi is one-upping itself with a new device for its 10th anniversary.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra goes beyond the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro in a few different ways. The 6.67-inch 2340x1080 OLED curved edge display offers up to a 120Hz refresh rate, up from the 90Hz refresh rate of the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro.
Xiaomi has upgraded the Mi 10 Ultra's cameras, too. The rear of the device is home to a 48MP telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom and a whopping 120x digital zoom, up from the 50x zoom on the Mi 10 Pro. The main camera is a 48MP snapper, too, with OIS, f/1.85 aperture, 8K video capture, and 4-in-1 large pixels. The 20MP ultra wide camera offers a 128-degree field of view, and there's a 12MP portrait camera, too.
There's a 4500mAh battery powering the Mi 10 Ultra, which is the same size as the Mi 10 Pro. The Mi 10 Ultra's charging capabilities have gotten an upgrade, though, getting boosted from 50W fast wired charging on the Mi 10 Pro to 120W on the Mi 10 Ultra. If you prefer wireless charging, that's gotten a boost as well, offering speeds up to 50W. And there's 10W reverse wireless charging if your other devices are running low on power.
Also inside the Mi 10 Ultra is a Snapdragon 865 processor paired with 8, 12, or 16GB of RAM plus 128, 256, or 512GB of built-in storage. There's a 20MP hole-punch selfie camera on the front of the Mi 10 Ultra plus a fingerprint reader built into the display.
The USB-C port on the Mi 10 Ultra pulls double duty for both charging and headphones, and there are dual stereo speakers for listening to audio without headphones. Rounding out the Mi 10 Ultra's arsenal is NFC and an IR blaster.
Xiaomi is taking pre-orders for the Mi 10 Ultra in China, with pricing starting at 5,299 yuan ($763 USD) for the base 8GB/128GB model. If you want to go all-out, the 16GB/512GB model is available for 6999 yuan ($1,008 USD).
Color options include Obsidian Black, Mercury Silver, and a special Transparent Edition that features an outline of the Mi 10 Ultra's interior parts.
What do you think of the Mi 10 Ultra? Does its 120Hz refresh rate, 120x zoom, and 120W fast charging have you hoping that it becomes available in your part of the world?
