OnePlus has been teasing that it will add an always-on display feature with its Android 11 update, and now you can try it out for yourself.
OnePlus today released its Android 11 Developer Preview 3 update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, and it includes the refreshed design and new features that'll be included with OnePlus's OxygenOS 11 custom UI. That includes a new visual design, an always-on display with 11 new clock styles, and a new OnePlus Sans font.
If you've got an OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro, you can try this update out right now. To do so, you'll need an unlocked version of those devices, as the carrier devices from T-Mobile and Verizon aren't compatible. You'll also need to be comfortable copying the ROM upgrade package from your computer to your phone.

Because this is a beta, you may run into some bugs while running it. OnePlus warns that some third-party apps may not work as expected and that there could be some issues with system stability and network stability.
