Earlier this year, the Oppo Reno was announced with a some highlight camera features that included a triple rear camera setup with 10x hybrid zoom and a wedge-shaped pop-up selfie cam. Now that phone's successor is ready for its debut, and it's going to one-up the original Reno.
Oppo has begun teasing the Reno 2 ahead of its official announcement. The teaser images show a device with a quad rear camera setup that includes a "20x zoom", likely a hybrid zoom like the original Oppo Reno. We can also seen in the teaser image that the Oppo Reno 2 will have a wedge-shaped pop-up selfie camera like the first model.
Finally, Oppo says that the Reno 2 will be coming first to India on August 28.

While the cameras on the Oppo Reno may have been a huge focus of the device, the rest of it was pretty high-end too. Its specs included a 6.6-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and 4065mAh battery. The Oppo Reno 2 could be similarly high-end, and so if you're in the market for a new Android flagship with a focus on camera performance, this phone could be worth a look. The good news is that the reveal is less than two weeks away, so it won't be long before we know more about the Oppo Reno 2.
