Not only is this news exciting for anyone interested in a Google Pixel 3 XL, it's especially newsworthy because the Pixel 2 XL caught a lot of flak for its display quality. Many folks were disappointed in the screen on the Pixel 2 XL, and while Google tried to address those concerns by adding a "Saturated" color mode to let owners punch up the colors on their Pixel 2 XL's display, the phone never really got away from its reputation for having a lower quality screen. The good news is that it sounds like the Pixel 3 XL has no such issues, which is great for anyone thinking of dropping $899 or more on Google's new flagship smartphone.
