On the same day that Google unveiled lots of new hardware, Xiaomi has revealed a new piece of kit of its own.
The Xiaomi Mi Box S is now official. This is a new Android TV (based on Android 8.1) box with 4K Ultra HD support with HDR as well as Google Assistant and Chromecast built-in. Xiaomi's new box also includes Dolby and DTS audio support. Included with the box is a remote with a dedicated button for launching Google Assistant, letting you search for content and control smart home devices with your voice, as well as buttons for Netflix and live TV.
When it comes to raw specs, the Xiaomi Mi Box S offers a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor, Mali-450 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 8GB of built-in storage.There's 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi included as well as Bluetooth 4.2, and when it comes to ports, the box offers one HDMI 2.0a port, one USB 2.0 port, and one audio out port.
The Xiaomi Mi Box S is now available for pre-order from Walmart for $59.99 and will launch on November 7th.
