A couple of months after adding the ability to set Gmail as your default mail app, Google is now updating Gmail for iOS with another major iOS 14 feature.
Google today released an update for its Gmail app on iOS that includes a Gmail widget for your home screen. There's only one widget available right now, and it's a 4x1 size that includes shortcuts to the Gmail search, the compose screen, and your inbox.
The widget is included with version 6.0.201101 of the Gmail app for iOS, so if you haven't updated yet today, load up the App Store and grab this new version.
Google also released a significant update to Chrome for iOS today. Version 87.0.4280.60 includes support for having multiple windows of Chrome open at the same time on iPad. Just tap and hold a link and choose "Open in new window" and up your multitasking.
