The last update that the OnePlus 5 received was its Android 10 upgrade back in May. But fast-forward six months and the OnePlus 5 and 5T are finally getting some fresh updates again.
OnePlus has announced an update to OxygenOS 10.0.1 for the OnePlus 5 and 5T. The update is starting its incremental rollout to OnePlus 5 phones today and will begin pushing it to the OnePlus 5T "soon".
This new update includes Electronic Image Stabilization for the Camera app to give you a more stable camera experience. It also fixes an "abnormal call recording issue" plus another bug related to deactivating alarms when the phone is powered off. There are September 2020 security patches in there, too, plus an updated Google Mobile Services package.

These incremental rollouts mean that only a small number of OnePlus 5 owners will get this update today, with a wider rollout happening in a few days once OnePlus can confirm that everything is working as it should. It's not clear exactly how "soon" the OnePlus 5T will start getting its update, but hopefully OnePlus won't make those users wait too long.
