After Fortnite was pulled from both Apple and Google's app stores this year, Samsung's Galaxy Store became one of the only places you could easily get the popular game. Now Samsung is redesigning the Galaxy Store to place more of a focus on Fortnite and other games.
Samsung today said that it's relaunching its Galaxy Store to make it a "place for casual and hardcore gamers alike to discover exciting gaming experiences and take advantage of unique benefits for Galaxy users." This new-look Galaxy Store has just two tabs on its home screen: Apps and Games.
Jump into the Games tab and you'll find Fortnite as well as other featured titles, top charts, and recommendations. Samsung touts that it's currently got the only mobile app store in the US with Fortnite, and it also highlights Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which lets you streaming more than 100 Xbox games to your Samsung device.
And then there's the Apps tab, where you'll find all your non-gaming apps and those recommendations as well.
This Galaxy Store redesign helps to clean up the look of Samsung's app store a bit. While there is a heavy focus on gaming and Fortnite, the updated UI is something all Galaxy device users can benefit from. So if you've got a Samsung phone or tablet, be on the lookout for this new Galaxy Store on your device in the coming days.
