After launching Reels last month, Instagram today announced some improvements to its TikTok competitor to help users make longer videos.
Instagram says that you can now create Reels up to 30 seconds in length, an increase from the previous limit of 15 seconds. You can also now extend the timer to 10 seconds when you're recording as well as trim and delete any clip.
These are all big changes for Instagram Reels users. While not quite as long as the 1-minute max length on TikTok, doubling the length of Reels should help to give Instagram users more options for making fun, creative clips.
