Google promised a few new products for its Launch Night In event next week, and tonight we're getting an early look at the packaging for two of them.
First up, the new Google Chromecast with Google TV box has been shown off in a brief video. The clip from Reddit (via Android Police) confirms the design of the pebbled-shaped device as well as its small white remote. The front of the box has the Google logo and says "Chromecast with Google TV".
Elsewhere on the box is confirmation that this new Chromecast will support 4K video. And on the bottom, we can see that the package includes the Chromecast itself, a power cable and power adapter, a voice remote, and 2AAA batteries for that remote.
Meanwhile, at least Walmart store has jumped the gun and put Google's new Nest Audio speaker out on shelves a full week before its announcement (via 9to5Google). The name "Nest Audio" is on the front of the box, and we also get to see the same smart speaker that leaked out in images last week.
The Nest Audio also got its own listing on the website for retailer Lowe's. Spotted by WinFuture's Roland Quandt, this page once again confirms the Nest Audio's name and design and gives us a price tag, too: $99.99.
The main Google Home speaker is nearly four years old now, and so it's good to see Google prepping a replacement. This Nest Audio will likely have improved audio given the original Google Home's age, and the new Nest Audio is coming in at a price that's $30 cheaper than the Google Home was when it launched.
Google's Launch Night In event is happening on September 30. In addition to the Chromecast with Google TV and Nest Audio, we also expect that we'll get official introductions to the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G.
