It's looking like Motorola will introduce an updated Razr foldable next week, but before it does, more details of the upcoming device have leaked out.
New images have leaked that give us a clearer look at the Motorola Razr 5G, and as suspected, it's going to look a lot like the current Razr foldable. The renders from Ishan Agarwal show phone with an old-school Razr flip phone design, a tall display with a notch, and a rectangular outer display with a camera bump below it.
Today's leak also includes some spec details of the Razr 5G. The new foldable will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 765G processor, which will enable its 5G connectivity. Also said to be included is a 48MP main camera and 20MP selfie camera, and a slightly larger 2800mAh battery.
The dimensions for the Motorola Razr 5G reportedly come in at 168.5 x 72.5 x 8mm and it weighs in at 190 grams. To compare, the original Razr foldable is 172 x 72 x 6.9mm and it weighs 205g.
Overall the Motorola Razr 5G looks like it could be a solid upgrade over the previous model. The updated processor and 5G support are two big changes, and both cameras are getting big improvements, too. And while the battery isn't massively larger, we're happy to take any battery upgrades we can get.
The foldables market is still very early on but we're seeing some big improvements from the likes of Samsung and its newer foldables, and so we're looking forward to seeing what Motorola learned from its original Razr and applies to the Razr 5G.
