Fossil today released an update for its Gen 5 smartwatches and it brings with it some major improvements.
The update brings a new Wellness app that'll track your activity including heart rate, distance, steps, and calories. And as noted by 9to5Google, the app can also handle sleep tracking, including letting you monitor your sleep history and set sleep goals.
V02 max measurements are included in the update as well. With it, you can measure your cardiorespiratory health.
Fossil has thrown in some other new goodies not related to activity tracking, too. A new Phone tile will let you create shortcuts to specific contacts so you can more quickly call them.
Finally, there are new custom profiles for battery modes. With each custom profile, you can set the watch up for specific scenarios to meet your needs and then change them up quickly. There's also an Extended Mode that'll get you up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge.
This new update will be rolling out over the coming days.
