YouTube Music is getting better this week across your phone, smart TV, and smart speaker.
First up, a new YouTube Music app on Android TV will give you one-click access to the music streaming service. Just click on "Apps" at the top of your Android TV home screen, open the Google Play Store app, search for "YouTube Music", and then install to start streaming your tunes faster.
If you've got a smart TV that's not running Android TV, you can access YouTube Music by launching the YouTube app and clicking on the music icon in the left menu.
Also new this week is some added Google Assistant integration. You can now say "Hey Google, play recommended music from YouTube Music" to your Google Nest smart speaker to get personalized music suggestions across your favorite artists and genres. This is based on your listening history.
Finally, Google Maps for Android is getting integration with YouTube Music Premium just like Waze did last year. This means that paying YouTube Music subscribers can now play, pause, and skip their music and choose from a set of playlists while navigating in Google Maps. You can also tap on the YouTube Music icon in Google Maps for Android to jump straight into the YouTube Music app.
Our app integrations just got a major boost! Now you can use #YouTubeMusic with more of your favorite devices:
