Xiaomi is a company that sells way more than just smartphones. It's also got a variety of lifestyle products like earphones, wearables, TVs, scooters, air purifiers, and hairdryers. And today Xiaomi introduced four new lifestyle products that'll launch internationally.
First up is the Mi TV Stick. This device is just 92.4mm (3.64 in.) and plugs directly into the HDMI port on your TV. It runs Android TV 9.0, meaning you've got access to streaming apps like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Spotify, and more, plus access to the Play Store for downloading apps.
The stick itself is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor and 1GB of RAM, and it includes 8GB of storage. It supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 as well as DTS and Dolby Audio.
Xiaomi's Mi TV Stick also comes with a Bluetooth remote that includes dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video.
The Mi TV Stick will be priced at €39.99 ($46 USD).
Also announced today is the Mi Smart Band 5. This wearable device has a 1.1-inch 126x29 AMOLED screen and a battery that'll last you 14 days on a single charge.
One of the main features of the Mi Smart Band 5 is its fitness tracking. There are 11 sports modes to choose from plus 24-hour heart rate monitoring. Xiaomi has also included 50m water resistance so you can wear the Mi Smart Band 5 while swimming. You can track other parts of your life with the Mi Smart Band 5, too, including sleep and cycle tracking.
The Mi Smart Band 5 will be available with six strap colors and will be priced at €39.99.
Xiaomi took the wraps off of some new truly wireless earbuds today, too. The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic feature a half in-ear design to help them more comfortably sit in your ear, and you can double tap the stems in three different positions — top, center, and bottom — to perform actions like playing or pausing music, activating the voice assistant, and answering an incoming call.
Each earphone has two microphones, one to reduce background noise during calls and one to pick up your voice. In-ear detection will automatically pause your music when one earphone is removed. And when it comes to battery life, Xiaomi touts that the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic can get you 5 hours off a single charge and three additional charges with the included charging case.
The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic will cost €39.99.
Xiaomi is also rolling out a couple of larger devices. The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 can travel up to 45 kilometers (around 28 miles) at speeds up to 25 kilometers per hour (15.5 miles per hour). Xiaomi says the scooter's battery can get you up to a week's worth of rides on a single charge.
The scooter itself has an aerospace-grade aluminum body, 8.5-inch tires, and an improved braking system with a shorter braking distance. There's a real-time display that'll show you info like speed and battery life plus a headlight, tail light, and reflectors around the body for safety. And when not in use, the Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 folds up in 3 seconds.
Xiaomi will sell the Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 for €499 ($570 USD).
Finally, the Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34-inch, which is exactly what it sounds like from its name. This 21:9 ultra-wide display has a 3440x1440 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi has also included AMD FreeSync tech to sync the graphics with the monitor refresh rate during high frame rate use for smoother gameplay.
The Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34-inch will sell for €399 ($456 USD).
