Verizon is the latest major mobile company to launch its own credit card.
The Verizon Visa Card is launching on June 26. With it, you can earn Verizon Dollars that you can then spend on anything at Verizon, including new devices and accessories as well as your monthly cellphone bill. You can spend 1 Verizon Dollar just like you'd spend $1 US Dollar.
Verizon customers will earn Verizon Dollars on every purchase with their Verizon Visa Card. This includes 4% on gas and grocery store/delivery purchases; 3% on dining, delivery, and curbside pick-up purchases; 2% on Verizon purchases; and 1% on everything else.
Below you can see an example of how a family might use the Verizon Visa Card in a month and how many Verizon Dollars they'd earn for those purchases.
Of course, Verizon Dollars isn't the only benefit that Verizon customers can get with this new credit card. The Verizon Visa Card is also eligible for the autopay discount of up to $10 per month per line on select plans, plus new autopay customers who sign up for the card can get the best pricing on unlimited plans. Verizon says that new cardholders can get up to $100 in bill credits over 24 months when they use the Verizon Visa Card to pay their monthly Verizon bill, too.
When it comes to the fine print, the Verizon Visa Card has no caps on rewards, no expiration dates, and no annual fee. There's also no foreign transaction fees for you international travelers.
If you're interested in the Verizon Visa Card, you can apply for it from now through June 25 at 9:00 pm ET and have the chance to get up to $1,000 Verizon Dollars. Just point your web browser here to read the full eligibility rules and learn how to apply.
