New updates have started rolling out to the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, and they're bringing with them a ton of improvements.
The updates are arriving as OxygenOS 10.5.8 for the OnePlus 8 and OxygenOS 10.5.10 for the OnePlus 8 Pro. According to XDA-Developers, you can expect improvements like optimized power consumption for longer battery life, a smoother unlocking transition, optimized touch and interaction experiences, and a better pocket mode to reduce mistouches.
There are a handful of camera improvements packed in the updates, too. An auto ultra wide angle lens feature will improve the photo quality of edges when shooting a close range on the OnePlus 8 Pro, and an optimized click animation for the camera shutter will make the process of taking a photo smoother.
Other goodies in these updates including improved network stability, improved performance of Wi-Fi transfers, optimized network latency for online games, and the May 2020 Android security patches.
OnePlus updates typically go out to a small number of users at first to ensure everything is working as it should. Plus, these updates haven't even been officially announced by OnePlus yet. So don't fret if you don't see an update on your OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro yet, because it should arrive in the coming days.
