Today's turning out to be a big day for Apple news, because in addition to the launches of the new iPhone SE and the Magic Keyboard with trackpad, Apple is also rolling out some new beta software updates.
iOS 13.4.5 beta 2 is now available to Apple's registered developers. If that's you, then you can get the update over the air by going into Settings > General > Software Update, or you can grab the update from Apple's Developer Center on the web.
Apple hasn't released an official changelog for iOS 13.4.5 yet, but the update appears to be focused on bug fixes and smaller improvements. It's thought that there's a fix for a Personal Hotspot bug that prevents that feature from working for some people, and a VPN vulnerability also may be patched.
One new feature that is included in the update is the ability to share Apple Music songs to Instagram. With it, you can easily create an Instagram Story with the song title, album name and artwork, plus an animated background.
There's no word on when iOS 13.4.5 might launch to the public, but Apple typically goes through at least four or five beta releases before unleashing a new update to all of its users. So it may still be a few weeks before we can all get the update.
Also released today is watchOS 6.2.5 beta 2. This update is also available to developers and, like iOS 13.4.5, is expected to be focused on fixing bugs rather than introducing new features.
