We've known what the Xbox Series X will look like for a while now, but what a lot of folks are interested in is seeing what games running on the Xbox Series X will look like. We'll get to see that next week.
Microsoft confirmed today that it'll give us a first look at Xbox Series X gameplay next Thursday, May 7. The Inside Xbox stream will begin at 8:00 am PT/11:00 am ET.
Microsoft itself didn't confirm any games that'll be shown during the stream. It did say that we'll see "next-gen gameplay from our global developers partners", suggesting that the focus will be on third-party titles. After Microsoft's announcement, Ubisoft revealed that it'll show its first Assassin's Creed Valhalla gameplay trailer during the stream.
Several of the Xbox Series X's specs were spilled by Microsoft last month. They include a custom designed processor with an 8-core AMD Zen 2 CPU and RDNA 2-class GPU that can put out 12 teraflops of performance. There's 16GB of RAM in the box, too, plus a 1TB custom NVMe SSD and a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray drive.
The Xbox Series X is slated to launch during the holiday 2020 timeframe.
