Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the biggest games of this console generation, and soon Xbox Game Pass members will be able to play it for no extra charge.
Microsoft confirmed today that Red Dead Redemption 2 will come to Xbox Game Pass for Console on May 7th. It includes both the story mode and Red Dead Online.
Another tidbit of good news is that Xbox Game Pass members who want to play Red Dead Redemption 2 can begin pre-downloading the game right now. That way when May 7th rolls around, you can begin playing right away.
Unfortunately, at the same time that one huge game from developer Rockstar is arriving on Xbox Game Pass, another one is leaving. Microsoft says that Grand Theft Auto V is leaving the service on May 7th, so you've only got a couple weeks left to play. If you want to continue playing after that date, you can buy GTA V at a 20% discount.
Xbox Game Pass pricing is $9.99 per month for Xbox One, while a separate PC subscription is available at an introductory price of $4.99 per month. Microsoft also offers Game Pass Ultimate, which is $14.99 per month and includes both Console and PC services as well as Xbox Live Gold for console multiplayer. For a limited time, you can get your first month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $1.
With Xbox Game Pass, you get access to more than 100 games. That includes big titles like Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Forza Horizon 4, Mortal Kombat X, Rocket League, Minecraft, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and NBA 2K20. Now Red Dead Redemption 2 is joining the service, too, helping to make Xbox Game Pass a more enticing option for console owners who haven't yet signed up.
