Last month Verizon announced it was handing out 15GB of extra data to its customers to help them stay connected during the coronavirus pandemic. Now it's giving out more data.
Verizon will give 15GB of additional 4G LTE data to consumer and small business accounts for use from May 1st through May 31st. This data will be automatically added to shared data plans, hotspots, and jetpacks.
With its previous 15GB offer, Verizon said that customers on unlimited plans would get 15GB of extra hotspot data while subscribers on metered plan would get 15GB for smartphone, hotspot, or connected device use. I've contacted Verizon to clarify if the offer is the same this time around.
The coronavirus pandemic has shaken up the lives of a lot of people, with many folks now quarantining at home and working, streaming, and video chatting more than before. This extra data can help those who rely on their cellphone to stay connected with loved ones and the world around them.
