NBC said earlier this year that its new Peacock streaming service would enter an early preview starting on April 15th, and today it reaffirmed that that's still the case.
Starting tomorrow, Comcast Xfinity X1 and Xfinity Flex customers will begin to gain access to an early preview of Peacock. It'll be available at no extra cost to these customers, who will get to check the service out for a few months before its national launch on July 15th.
Peacock will be rolling out to Xfinity X1 and Flex customers over the coming weeks. It can be accessed by saying "Peacock" into the Xfinity Voice Remote, and X1 customers can also find it integrated into the X1 guide alongside all of the other live TV, on demand, and streaming services.
Comcast customers will have free access to the Peacock Premium tier, which is an ad-supported service that will cost $4.99 per month for non-Comcast customers. Also available to non-Comcast customers will be a free ad-supported service with limited programming. An ad-free version of Peacock will be available to Comcast customers for $5.00 per month or $9.99 per month for non-Comcast customers.
Peacock Premium includes more than 15,000 hours of TV shows and movies. These include shows like Law & Order: SVU, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Two and a Half Men, and Saturday Night Live as well as films such as the Jurassic Park franchise, E.T., and Meet the Parents.
Also coming to Peacock Premium will be exclusive early access to content from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers, which customers will be able to access before they air on live TV.
Looking ahead, Peacock will get dozens of additional series and original films. Later this year and into 2021, you can expect to see shows like The Office, This Is Us, and Married With Children come to Peacock as well as movies like Fast & Furious, The Big Lebowski, and The Bourne Trilogy.
