The TCL 10 Series is a new lineup of flagship phones that were originally introduced at CES a few months ago. Details on the devices were light at the time, but today TCL is spilling more details on its upcoming hardware.
The TCL 10 5G is the first 5G-enabled smartphone from TCL. It's packing a 6.53-inch 2340x1080 LCD screen with a hole-punch in the upper left corner of the display where the 16MP selfie cam lives. That camera uses 4-in-1 big pixel tech to offer better low-light shots.
Around back is a quad camera array that includes a 64MP main camera, 8MP wide angle camera with 118-degree field of view, a 5MP macro camera that can take shots from just 2cm away from your subject, and a 2MP depth camera to help with portrait mode photos.
TCL has opted for a Snapdragon 765G processor here and paired it with 6GB of RAM. There's 128GB of storage built into the TCL 10 5G, but you can expand it with up to 1TB of additional storage using a microSD card. Also included is NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a rear fingerprint sensor, and a 4500mAh battery that can be used for reverse charging, letting you use the TCL 10 5G to charge other devices.
The TCL 10 5G will launch in select regions around the world later this year at a price of €399/£399. It'll come with Android 10 below TCL's custom UI, which includes a Smart Key that you can customize to use different apps and features with single, double, and long presses, as well as Super Bluetooth that allows you to connect up to four Bluetooth speakers or headphones to push your music to multiple people.
Next up is the TCL 10 Pro. This model has its own first, as TCL touts that this is the company's first phone with a curved AMOLED display. That screen is a 6.47-inch 2340x1080 screen with always on display support and an in-display fingerprint sensor. At the top of the screen is a waterdrop notch for the 24MP selfie camera.
The TCL 10 Pro has a quad rear camera array of its own wit ha 64MP main camera, a 16MP wide angle cam with 123-degree field of view, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP low-light video camera with 2.9μm big pixels.
Packed inside the TCL 10 Pro is a Snapdragon 675 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 4500mAh battery, and a reverse charging feature like the TCL 10 5G. It'll launch with Android 10, but TCL says the 10 Pro is upgradeable to Android 11.
TCL will unleash the 10 Pro in Europe, North America, Australia, and the United Kingdom starting in Q2 2020 for €449/$449/£399.
And then there's the TCL 10 L, which is the most affordable of the trio. Just because it's the affordable model doesn't mean it skimps on features, though, because TCL also gave the 10 L a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP main cam, an 8MP wide angle camera with 118-degree field of view, a 2MP macro camera for close-up shots, and a 2MP depth cam.
Around front there's a 6.53-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2340x1080 and a hole-punch for the 16MP selfie cam. A fingerprint reader is located on the back of the TCL 10 L, and there are 3.5mm and USB-C jacks, too.
Rounding out the TCL 10 L's feature set is a Snapdragon 665 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64/128GB of storage, a microSD card slot, and a 4000mAh battery. TCL is preloading the 10L with Android 10.
Expect to see the TCL 10 L in Europe, North America, Australia, and the United Kingdom starting in Q2 2020 at a price of €249/$249/£199.
