Dell Mobile Connect is an app for Windows PCs that lets you do things like make and receive calls, send and receive texts, and get notifications from your phone on your computer. This week it's getting some big new features for both iPhone and Android.
The newest update to Dell Mobile Connect adds file transfer capability to iPhone, letting you easily send photos and videos from your iPhone to your Dell computer. Full mirroring capability has been added, too, enabling you to mirror your iPhone screen on your PC and control it with your keyboard, mouse, or touchscreen.
Meanwhile, Android users are gaining MMS capabilities.
The update to Dell Mobile Connect version 3.0 is already rolling out, and some people already have the new features that it brings. Dell tells us that the update will be available to all compatible devices by March 27th.
The new features are available on Dell XPS, Inspiron, Vostro, Alienware, and G Series PCs purchased after January 2018. You'll need the Dell Mobile Connect app on your PC as well as the iPhone or Android app to get everything working.
Apps like Dell Mobile Connect are handy because they let you interact with your phone, including conducting calls and sending text messages, without having to constantly switch between your computer and your phone.
