Apple has a couple of new headphones in the works and they've both leaked out before their official introduction.
First up, icons depicting Apple's rumored over-ear headphones have leaked out. The icons were discovered in a leaked iOS 14 build obtained by 9to5Mac and they show the over-hear headphones in both light and dark versions, suggesting that Apple could have black and white versions of the headphones.
Features of these over-ear headphones are still unknown, but it's possible that they could borrow features from AirPods since they'll likely be branded as Apple headphones and not Beats. Those features could include pausing and resuming when you take off the headphones and put them back on as well as noise cancellation and the Transparency feature found on the AirPods Pro.
Considering that a icon for the headphones is appearing in iOS 14, it's possible that Apple is planning to launch them this fall after iOS 14 is likely to be launched.
Also leaked today are Apple's Powerbeats 4 wireless sports headphones. While they look similar to the Powerbeats 3, images shared by WinFuture show that the Powerbeats 4 have an updated cable routing that has the cable connecting the two headphones coming out of the hook that goes behind your ear rather than the front like on the Powerbeats 3.
The Powerbeats 4 will reportedly come with the same Apple H1 chip found in the latest AirPods models. Rumors say that the Powerbeats 4 will have longer battery life, too, up from 12 hours in the previous model to 15 hours. A "Fast Fuel" feature will purportedly get you 60 minutes of battery life in just 5 minutes of charging.
Powerbeats 4 are expected to be available in white, red, and black color options. Pricing will allegedly be unchanged from the Powerbeats 3, which carry a regular price of $199.95.
