Hot on the heels of a report that claimed that the OnePlus 8 series could be announced next month, some spec details on the upcoming phones may have leaked out.
The OnePlus 8 (alleged render above) and OnePlus 8 Pro will reportedly both be powered by a Snapdragon 865 processor with 5G support. Leaker Ishan Agarwal and 91mobiles report that the two phones will also each have a 6.55-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate, up from 90Hz on the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro, as well as a hole-punch selfie camera.
One area where the two phones will reportedly differ is the rear cameras. The OnePlus 8 is expected to have a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor in addition to 16MP and 2MP cameras. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 8 Pro will allegedly have a quad rear camera array with the addition of a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor to help gather depth information.
Other specs that've leaked today include a 32MP selfie camera for the OnePlus 8 and 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 12GB/256GB variants. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 8 Pro is tipped to include a 4500mAh battery, "Dual 5G support" and 30W reverse wireless charging support.
Today's report also contains some info on the OnePlus 8 Lite that's also rumored to be in the works. This model is said to have a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor and 90Hz refresh rate.
The OnePlus 8 Lite is expected to have a triple rear camera setup with 48MP, 16MP, and 12MP cameras, too, as well as a 4000mAh battery and 30W fast charging, and Android 10.
Finally, this lite version of the OnePlus 8 will purportedly come with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 processor and have two variants: 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.
Today's report claims that the OnePlus 8 Lite will cost £400 GBP ($515 USD). Pricing details for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro haven't yet leaked, but they'll likely be a bit more than the OnePlus 8 Lite. To compare, the OnePlus 7T's regular price is £549 GBP/$599 USD.
