YouTube Music is rolling out three new playlists that'll be personalized to you.
Starting today, YouTube Music will offer a Discover Mix, a New Release Mix, and a Your Mix. Each one will use your listening history to create a unique playlist for you and help you find new music to enjoy. That means that the more that you listen to and like music, the more these playlists will get better.
The Discover Mix will give you music from a new artist you've never listened to before as well as lesser-known tunes from artists that you already like. This playlist will give you 50 tracks to check out each week and will be updated every Wednesday.
The New Release Mix will do what its name suggests: give you the most recent releases from artists that it knows you enjoy as well as ones it thinks that you'll like. You can expect a big update to this playlist every Friday since that's when most new music is released, but there may be some mid-week updates included as well.
Finally, the Your Mix playlist is meant for "those times when you don't want to think and just want to play something you know you'll like." It's filled with music that you already know but will also mix in some tunes from artists that you may have never heard before, but that YouTube Music thinks you'll like. Small updates are made to this playlist regularly.
All three of these new playlists are now available globally for all YouTube Music listeners.
Personalized playlists are one of the most popular aspects of other music streaming services, guiding you to new music based on your listening history. It's good to see YouTube Music add these type of playlists, too, because with all of the music out there, it can be tough to find new music that you'll like all on your own.
