Google has already added new games to Stadia this week and handed out an extra Buddy Pass to Founders, and now it's got some more good Stadia news to share.
An update is now rolling out to existing Chromecast Ultra devices that enables them to work with Stadia. Google says that if you're a Stadia user with an existing Chromecast Ultra, you can sync a controller to that device and start playing on an additional TV in your house.
Google's Stadia Founders Edition and Premiere Edition packages both come with a Chromecast Ultra so that users can begin playing on their TV right away. However, in the weeks before Stadia's launch, Google revealed that existing Chromecast Ultra devices would need a firmware update to be used with Stadia.
Now that that update has been deployed, Stadia users can play on even more TVs throughout their house. Being able to play on a variety of screens, including smartphones, computers, and TVs, is one of the major selling points of Stadia, so it's good to see Google now rolling out the update that enables existing Chromecast Ultras to work with Stadia.
If you have access to Stadia already, we have some good news to share. We have rolled out an update to existing Chromecast Ultras that allow them to work with Stadia. Grab your Stadia Controller, sync it to any Chromecast Ultra & start playing on an additional TV in your house.
