Samsung isn't expected to begin its official Android 10 rollout for another month, and so until then it continues to beta test the update with Galaxy owners.
The unlocked Galaxy S9 and Note 9 models in the U.S. can now get in on Samsung's One UI 2.0 and Android 10 beta. If you've got one of those devices and you'd like to take part in the test, you can register in the Samsung Members app.
The Galaxy S9 and S9+ updates are versions G960U1UEU7ZSL3 and G965U1UEU7ZSL3, respectively, and SamMobile notes that the updates also include the December 1, 2019 Android security patches. The update also includes all of the fixes in the second Android 10 beta firmware that Samsung just released this week, which includes fixes for slowdowns related to memory leaks, slow hotspot speeds, and device reboots while playing Clash Royale.
Owners of the unlocked Galaxy Note 9 in the U.S. should look for version N960U1UEU3ZSL2. Like the S9 and S9+ updates, the Note 9's update includes the December 2019 Android security patches and Samsung's latest bug fixes.
According to roadmaps that we've seen previously, the Galaxy S9, S9+, and Note 9 could begin getting the official Android 10 update as soon as January. Still, it's good to see Samsung adding U.S. unlocked models of the S9 and Note 9 to the beta, letting interested owners try the update now before it's made available to the public.
