More details on the iPhone SE 2 have leaked out ahead of the device's expected Q1 2020 launch.
The iPhone SE 2 is expected to be powered by an Apple A13 processor, which is the same chip that's in the iPhone 11, and it'll also have 3GB of RAM and 64GB and 128GB storage options. That's according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via MacRumors), who has in the past accurately leaked upcoming Apple products.
Kuo goes on to say that the iPhone SE 2 will have Space Gray, Silver, and Red color options, and that it will not have 3D Touch support. The lack of 3D Touch wouldn't be a huge shock since Apple seems to have left that feature behind since it's been excluded from the iPhone 11, too.
Finally, it's expected that the iPhone SE 2 will cost $399, which is the same price that the original iPhone SE cost when it first launched.
Past reports have said that the iPhone SE 2 will have a design similar to the iPhone 8 and that it'll use a Touch ID fingerprint reader, not Face ID like Apple's iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. There's no word yet on screen size, but the iPhone 8 has a 4.7-inch display, so that could be the same size screen on the iPhone SE 2. While that's a bit bigger than the 4-inch iPhone SE, it's also quite a bit smaller than most other smartphones launching lately, so the iPhone SE 2 could still be a good option for folks that want a smaller smartphone that still has capable specs.
