Twitter is rolling out a new feature to help keep unwanted Direct Messages out of your inbox.

Twitter today announced that it's rolling out a filter for Direct Message requests to keep unwanted DMs out of your main inbox. With this feature, you'll see a button in the "Message requests" part of your DM inbox that'll house messages that could be spammy or contain offensive content. You can then view the messages if you'd like or tap the trash can to delete them without having to open them up.

This feature was in testing back in mid-August, and it's now rolling out to everyone on Android, iOS, and the web. It should help to keep your DM inbox clear of spam and offensive messages, saving you the time and trouble of having to see these messages appear in your inbox and then having to delete them yourself.
