Members of the Google Maps Preview test group have now gotten access to Incognito Mode. As you can see in the images above, you can toggle it on by tapping your photo in Google Maps. When active, your searches and real-time tracked location won't be saved in your Google Account.
The feature works on Google Maps in Android Auto, too. The folks at Android Police note that when you turn Incognito Mode on for Google Maps on Android Auto, you'll see a black bar near the top of your screen that says "Incognito mode is on" to let you know that your data isn't being recorded.
Incognito Mode in Google Maps could be useful in a few different scenarios, like if you're planning on going shopping for a loved one but you want to keep your plans a secret. There's no word yet on when us regular folks will get to try Incognito Mode for Google Maps,
