After plenty of waiting, Samsung has officially announced its newest flagship smartphone: the Galaxy Note 10. And as is par for the course these days, there are two variants to choose from, depending on screen size and built-in storage.

The Galaxy Note 10 is now official, and with it, Samsung is bringing variants. Joining the standard Galaxy Note 10 with its 6.3-inch display is the Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, both of which are equipped with a 6.8-inch display. The screens are AMOLED and Samsung calls them the Cinematic Infinity Display. The displays support HDR10+, Dynamic Tone Mapping, wide color range support, and much more.

As far as cameras go, there are many. The Galaxy Note 10 has three cameras on the back: 16-megapixel ultra-wide, 12MP wide-angle, and a 12MP telephoto camera. The front-facing camera in the Galaxy Note 10 is 10 megapixels. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 10+ (and Note 10+ 5G) features the same rear camera setup for the most part, but adds an additional VGA DepthVision camera (for a total of four cameras). The front-facing camera on the Galaxy Note 10+ is 10 megapixels.

Both handsets are equipped with a 7nm 64-bit octa-core processor, but, as usual, processor variants may change depending on markets. The Galaxy Note 10 has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. The Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy Note 10+ feature 12GB of RAM. The variant comes with either 256GB of built-in storage or 512GB.

The Galaxy Note 10 features a 3500mAh battery and the Galaxy Note 10+ is equipped with a 4300mAh battery. They are all running Android 9.0 Pie. There isn't a 3.5mm headphone jack on either model, though.

Of course, the Galaxy Note 10 also boasts new improvements for the S Pen stylus. Samsung started with a redesign of the accessory itself. The S Pen can now automatically convert handwritten notes to text within the stock Notes app. Samsung is including air gestures, too, allowing for customizable controls.

The Galaxy Note 10 series will be available in Aura Black, Aura White, and Aura Glow. Pricing for the Galaxy Note 10 starts at $949.99, while pricing for the Galaxy Note 10+ starts at $1,099.99. Meanwhile, there's a premium for the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, which retails for $1,299.99 -- and a Verizon exclusive out of the gate.

Samsung will open pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 10 lineup on Thursday, August 8. Each of the models go on sale beginning August 23.
