In the run-up to the launch of the Pixel 4, Google has started offering deep discounts on the Pixel 3.
Google is now selling the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL for $300 off their normal prices. That means that the Pixel 3 starts at $499, just $100 more than the Pixel 3a. If you'd prefer the Pixel 3 XL, you can score one for $599.
These discounts will be available through September 28, so you've got some time to decide exactly which model you want.
We know the Pixel 4 is coming soon — Google has even confirmed the upcoming flagship along with some of its features — but the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL could still be a good buy for someone in the market for a discounted Android phone. The Pixel 3 phones have a high-end Snapdragon 845 processor that ought to handle most anything you throw at it, and the 12.2MP rear camera on both phones is one of the best smartphone cams around. And since they're Pixel phones, you'll get speedy updates direct from Google; both phones are guaranteed to get OS and security updates through October 2021.
