After getting a clear look at the Pixel 4 XL in render form at the start of the month, we're now getting a peek at the smaller Pixel 4.
New renders that claim to show the Google Pixel 4 have surfaced, depicting a device that looks an awful lot like Pixel 4 XL but in a smaller size. We can see a forehead with dual front cameras and a couple of sensors, and there's a smaller chin at the bottom of the phone's face.
Around back, these renders from OnLeaks and iGeeksBlog show a square housing with a couple of cameras, another sensor that could be a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor for helping to capture depth info, and a flash. As with the Pixel 4 XL, there's no rear fingerprint reader on the Pixel 4, suggesting that Google will either adopt an in-display fingerprint sensor or go all-in on face unlock.
At the bottom of the Pixel 4 are a couple of speaker grilles with a USB-C port in the middle. Just like with the Pixel 3, there's no 3.5mm headphone jack present here.
The dimensions of the Pixel 4 are said to be 147.0 x 68.9 x 8.2mm. To compare, the Pixel 3 measures 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9mm.
There's nothing too surprising about the Pixel 4's design since the Pixel 3 managed to avoid the notch, but it's still nice to get an early look at the smaller Pixel for this year. There's no word yet on when the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL might be officially introduced, but Google has introduced its previous three generations of Pixel phones in early October, so that's the likeliest possibility right now.
