iOS 13 won't launch to the public for a few more months, but that doesn't mean that Apple won't be pushing out other software updates in the mean time.
Apple today released iOS 12.4 and watchOS 5.3 updates. iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch owners can get iOS 12.4 by going into their device's Settings app and selecting General > Software Update.
As for what's included in iOS 12.4, Apple says that the update adds the ability to wirelessly transfer data and migrate directly from an old iPhone to a new iPhone. There are also some Apple News improvements, like making downloaded issues accessible in the My Magazines section, as well as a security fix for the Apple Watch's Walkie-Talkie feature and support for HomePod in Japan and Taiwan.
watchOS 5.3 is available in the Watch app on your iPhone. Just go into General > Software Update to begin downloading the update.
Like iOS 12.4, the update to watchOS 5.3 is on the smaller side. It includes the aforementioned Walkie-Talkie security fix and re-enables that feature and also adds the Apple Watch Series 4's ECG feature and irregular heart rhythm notifications in Canada and Singapore.
