The Moto Z4 hasn't been announced by Motorola, but that didn't stop Amazon from not only listing the device in its store, but also shipping it to a customer.
Reddit user JETFIRE007 purchased a Moto Z4 from Amazon and received it over the weekend (via Android Authority). They posted a brief video showing off the unannounced device, saying that the phone feels and looks good and that the screen looks "fantastic". One interesting tidbit they found is that some Moto Mods don't fit flush with the Moto Z4's body, leaving a gap that you can see and feel.
According to the Amazon product page for the Moto Z4, which has since been pulled but was archived before it was yanked, this Motorola phone is packing a 6.4-inch 2340x1080 OLED screen with 19:9 aspect ratio and in-display fingerprint sensor, an octa-core Snapdragon 675 processor, and 4GB of RAM. There's 128GB of storage built-in along with a microSD card slot that'll let you add up to 2TB of storage.
The back of the Moto Z4 is home to a 48MP camera that outputs 12MP images using Quad Pixel tech, and around front is a 25MP selfie camera that lives in a waterdrop notch at the t op of the screen. You can find one sample photo taken by the Moto Z4 below and several more right here. Also included with the Moto Z4 also features a 3600mAh battery, 15W TurboPower fast charger, USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a splash-proof coating.
Amazon was asking $499.99 for the Moto Z4, which is unlocked and includes support for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon in the U.S. The device also came with a Moto 360 Camera Mod when purchased from Amazon along with some preinstalled Amazon apps.
It's pretty strange to see the Moto Z4 get sold on Amazon before it's even announced by Motorola, but it's likely that the Moto Z4 is close to an official launch and someone just flipped the switch on its Amazon page a little early. With a Snapdragon 675 and 4GB of RAM, the Moto Z4 is more of a mid-range smartphone rather than a flagship like past Moto Z phones, but it does have some nice features like an in-display fingerprint sensor and large battery.
