Samsung has been busy rolling out its One UI user interface to its Galaxy smartphones lately, and now it's showing some One UI love to its smartwatches, too.
Samsung is now deploying One UI updates to the Galaxy Watch, Gear Sport, and Gear S3. The update to One UI aims to make navigating the software easier and better-looking by reducing visual clutter.
Also included in this update is the ability to download new watch face designs that were previously only available on the Galaxy Watch Active, an improved Settings menu to help you find things more easily, and improved health and fitness features. Those include streamlined workout tracking to help you get started with your workouts more quickly, support for outdoor swimming tracking, and more effective heart rate monitoring.
Rounding out the update is a battery optimization that'll automatically close background apps and amend settings that may drain beatter life to get you longer use of your smartwatch. Here's Samsung's full changelog for this update:

These updates are now rolling out over the air. If you've got a Galaxy Watch, Gear Sport, or Gear S3, you can check for your update by checking in the Galaxy Wearable app.
This sounds like a significant update for owners of these three Samsung smartwatches. When you're checking something on your smartwatch, you want a clean, easy-to-use UI since you're fiddling around on a tiny screen, so the rollout of Samsung's refreshed One UI to smartwatches is welcome.
