One day after purported iPhone XI renders appeared, new images have surfaced that claim to give us an early look at Apple's next Max phone.
The iPhone XI Max has allegedly been revealed in some CAD-based renders. The images come to us from OnLeaks and CashKaro, and they show a device that looks similar to the iPhone XI that leaked yesterday. There's a triple rear camera setup in a triangular array, a square camera housing with a smooth transition to the glass back, and an updated mute switch.
It's said that the this larger 2019 iPhone will be close in size to the iPhone XS Max. If the bezels and notch are shrunk at all, the change from the iPhone XS Max is said to be "indistinguishable". The iPhone XI Max will reportedly measure 157.6 x 77.5 x 8.1mm, which would make it a tiny bit larger than the iPhone XS Max, whose dimensions are 157.5 x 77.4 x 7.7mm.
As with the iPhone XI, it's looking like the big change with the iPhone XI Max may be the addition of a third rear camera. We don't know what special features that camera may offer, but since the iPhone XS Max has a standard camera and a telephoto lens, adding a wide angle camera to the iPhone XI Max could make sense for Apple.
Some folks may be disappointed if the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max have a design that's largely similar to the iPhone XS and iPhone X, but rumors have said that Apple could launch a 5G iPhone in 2020, and so a redesign would make sense for a major new model like that.
